Black Dove Leather Co is a small leather crafting business run by a family member of mine on Etsy.com. With the launch of her store within Etsy, a logo and their voice and style were needed to get started.

Objectives

To design a logo that represents the clients vision, voice, and uniqueness for Black Dove Leather Co.

To create on-brand assets, such as Etsy shop banners and other print materials such as business and personal thank you cards.

In addition, instagram social squares for promotion and advertising needs.

Audience

Biker or motorcycle enthusiasts, Leather-working professionals and craftsmen, veterans, active military, and law enforcement. Ages 30+.

Logo Variations

Logo variations include a secondary vertical stamp inspired crest. These are used in social media over imagery, and on some larger leather items.

About the logo

It was important to the client that a sense of tradition and discipline was emphasized without feeling commercial. A logo that was a visual ambassador of their quality, technique, craft into every work of art they create. To convey quality of a bygone age and evoke nostalgia with a vintage approach.

Color Palette

A palette of dark plum, lavender, deep brown, and silver was used. Reflecting a vintage touch while conveying elegance, sophistication, and wisdom.
